Responsible for many world-class, award-winning wines, Alexia has dedicated her winemaking career to the iconic McLaren Vale wine region.

After almost two decades of living, learning and crafting wines in McLaren Vale, Alexia's dreams were finally realised when she and her husband, Damon, and their two children found a picturesque property perched on top of a hill in Blewitt Springs.

The property was planted with two of McLaren Vale’s regional hero varieties, Grenache and Shiraz and they instantly felt a connection with this small parcel of land that they decided to purchase and call home.

At 140m elevation on deep sandy soils, the old bush vine Grenache was planted in 1922 and combined with the Shiraz, planted in 1999; these varieties are ideal for a winemaker to truly express the iconic McLaren Vale wine region.

Bordered on native Australian scrub, animals and flora exist in their natural habitat. Each label displays a different illustration of the native flora growing on their property.

In pursuit of excellence in viticulture using a sustainable approach, minimising tractor passes and fungicide sprays, applying minimal irrigation and encouraging biodiversity, Alexia and Damon are passionate about understanding the natural habitats that surround them.

Larnook reflects the terroir of the vineyard, its surrounding native scrub and a winemaker in her natural habitat that is now a place called home.
